Our Top 5 Summer drinks

Cranberry-Pomegranate & Ginger Tea

1-inch piece fresh ginger root
1 1/2 c cranberry-pomegranate juice
1 t lemon juice
1 t orange juice
slices of lemon and orange

Remove the skin of the ginger and slice into thin pieces. In a small pot place the ginger and water, bring to boil. When boiling quickly remove from the heat and place in jar. Allow to steep 2-4 hours.

When ready to enjoy place a few lemon and orange slices in your serving container. Fill with ice. Add the tea and fruit juices and enjoy!

True Treats- Shannon's favorite. It is a very light and refreshing summer drink. You can taste the ginger, which I love, all while having a fruity flavor. I definitely recommend!

Dice the ginger into small pieces. In a pot, place 1 ½ cups of water with the ginger. Allow the water to boil, allow to continue for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to steep 15 minutes.

In the serving pitcher, add the honey and maple syrup. Strain the ginger pressing what is left into the water. Stir until everything is well incorporated. Add the lemon juice and vinegar. Chill for 2 hours to overnight.

When serving, place berries in pitcher, garnish with fresh mint.

Ice and Club Soda

In a saucepan, place 2 cups of water, lemon peels, and sugar on medium heat. Allow to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

In a food processor, place the raspberries and blackberries. Allow the berries to be pureed. You may choose to strain to remove seeds.

Take out the lemon peels from the water-sugar mixture. Mix with the berries, lemon juice, and rest of water. Allow to cool for 2 hours to overnight. When serving, add ice and seltzer water to taste. Enjoy!
Nectarine Green Tea

In serving pitcher, place the teabags. Slice the nectarines, and place into saucepan with water. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, and pour over the tea bags. Allow to steep for 10 minutes, add honey to taste. Allow to chill 2 hours to overnight. Serve with pieces of nectarine in each glass. Enjoy.

Ultimate Dessert Iced Coffee

½ c espresso beans
2 c water
1/8 c raw sugar
½ t cinnamon
½ c fresh mint
½ inch piece of fresh ginger
soy milk (or what you prefer)

Make coffee in a drip coffee maker or fresh press. Meanwhile, dice up ginger and mint, and place into bowl. Add the cinnamon and sugar into bowl, stirring around the mixture. Pour the coffee over the sugar mixture. Take half of the coffee and place into the refrigerator. Place the other half of the coffee mixture into the freezer.

Check on the coffee mixture in the freezer every hour, stirring around. Allow the mixture to become slushy, about 2-3 hours.

When serving, add the chilled coffee. Top with frozen mixture, and add milk to taste. Enjoy!
